About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Integrity Engineer to join our Mining, Infrastructure & Delivery division in Adelaide. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering structural assessment programs and providing engineering support services to our mining and resources clients across Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work collaboratively with a team of local professional engineers to deliver structural assessment programs.
  2. Conduct thorough structural integrity inspections of existing facilities, identify defects, and undertake risk assessments accordingly.
  3. Provide practical recommendations and solutions for remediation works in brownfield sites.
  4. Supervise and guide non-senior team members, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  5. Lead assigned project activities to ensure all projects are delivered to meet quality requirements within the allocated budget and timeframe.
  6. Adhere to WSP's HSE procedures and ensure all works are executed in a safe manner.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  2. Member of Engineer Australia, CPEng required.
  3. Strong passion for collaboration and teamwork.
  4. Flexible thinking and ability to adapt to varying project scales.
  5. Exceptional experience in structural engineering design and project management, with a strong background in mining.
  6. Demonstrated experience in consolidated structural engineering design or analysis for concrete, steel, and heavy equipment supports.
  7. Strong communication and report writing skills.
  8. Experience with relevant Australian Standards and a deep understanding of industrial practice and constructability.
  9. Multi-tasking and a fundamental understanding of project delivery.
  10. Sound knowledge of HSE and experience with risk assessment.
  11. Result-driven and able to work independently.
  12. Adelaide based with frequent site travel required.
  13. Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent).
  14. Practical experience with AutoCAD (essential), Advanced Steel (preferred), and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
  15. Experience with Navisworks, Inventor, and Revit is not essential but highly regarded.
  16. Previous mining/industrial infrastructure experience is essential.
  17. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  18. Knowledge of CAD software and ability to use it to check drawings.
  19. Attention to detail and ability to identify errors and discrepancies.
  20. Communication skills to liaise with engineers and designers to resolve issues.
  21. Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to drawings and design.
  22. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  23. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  24. Familiarity with working with point cloud surveys would be highly regarded.
  25. Extensive experience in a similar role.
