Project Management Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Director to join our team at RPS Group in Griffith, Canberra. This is a client-side position that requires exceptional project management skills and experience in delivering large complex projects within Defence or similar government agencies.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Construction, Architectural, Engineering, or similar and strong understanding and proven experience with a range of delivery methodologies. They will also have previous experience across Defence, including Defence writing skills, and be able to provide evidence to confirm vaccination status for COVID-19 to meet our client's vaccination requirements.

This role offers a competitive salary of $145,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as flexible work arrangements, professional membership reimbursement, paid parental and partner leave, and an active lifestyle allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes;
  • To develop and implement project management strategies, plans, and procedures;
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members;
  • To identify and mitigate project risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards;
  • To monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Construction, Architectural, Engineering, or similar;
  • Strong understanding and proven experience with a range of delivery methodologies;
  • Previous experience across Defence, including Defence writing skills;
  • Ability to provide evidence to confirm vaccination status for COVID-19;
  • 10+ years client-side PM or a PMCA in the industries mentioned above;
  • AIPM Accreditation or equivalent.
