Senior Project Manager

Due to exceptional growth and success, RPS Group is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Senior Project Manager with experience in delivering projects within Defence or similar government agencies. This role may involve working embedded within Defence, acting on behalf of the client or as a Project Management/Contract Administration (PMCA) team member.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Building and Construction, Infrastructure, Contract Management, Refit, Property Management and similar fields. The position is based in Griffith, Canberra, offering a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to work with a market leader in project management who specialises in the delivery of large complex projects.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification in Construction, Architectural, Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
  • A strong understanding and proven experience with various delivery methodologies, including Head Contract, Managing Contractor and Design and Construct, is preferable.
  • Previous experience across Defence, including Defence writing skills, is essential.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage business relationships is necessary.
  • Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proactive and able to think strategically.
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Ability to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status to meet client requirements.
  • 10+ years' experience as a client-side PM or PMCA in relevant industries, with familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (preferable but not essential).
  • AIPM Accreditation or equivalent is advantageous.
