About Us

RPS is a leading project management company with a strong presence in the Australian market. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead our ACT-based delivery team for key Defence projects.

About the Role

As a Project Director, you will oversee the delivery of complex projects, leading a team of construction professionals to ensure strategic objectives are met and project delivery is achieved to a high standard. You will have previous experience in planning and delivering major construction and infrastructure projects for public and/or private sector clients.

Your Impact

  • Manage all stakeholder relationships to ensure high performance in relation to time, cost, and quality requirements;
  • Manage and develop project resources to achieve current and future project and business objectives;
  • Strategically plan and deliver project requirements to ensure high client satisfaction;
  • Deliver high-quality service in consideration of time and cost constraints;
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality and time requirements;
  • Assist with development and implementation of project programs, including concept planning, design, implementation, and close-out phases;
  • Manage and administer contracts, including invoices, reports, and other deliverables within deadlines;
  • Participate consultatively in project and process audits;
  • Assist in selected future bids, proposals, business development, and conversion activities;
  • Manage RPS commercial interests in relation to client engagements.

About You

You will be a people person and a networker who can build and maintain valuable relationships with stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • 15+ years of recent construction and/or consulting project management experience across large-scale, complex construction, and infrastructure projects;
  • Professional qualifications in project management, engineering, construction management, or similar;
  • Planning or development and delivery phase experience;
  • Managing contractor experience (preferred);
  • A clear understanding of directing and managing projects through all approval processes;
  • Proven experience with a range of delivery methodologies and contracts relating to large-scale construction projects;
  • AIPM Certified Practicing Project Director certification or equivalent is desirable.
