Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Motor Underwriter to join our high-performing team. As a Motor Underwriter, you will assist in leading the profitable growth of a Prestige Motor Insurance agency via our Broker partners.

  • Underwrite motor policies and determine effective pricing/policy negotiation.
  • Manage Renewals, Endorsements, and New Business opportunities to attain financial targets.
  • Maintain and exceed service level standards.
  • Follow best practices and uphold ethical and regulatory standards across the agency. Adhere to underwriting guidelines and target market determination.
  • Liaise with brokers and business partners at company functions and Industry events.
  • Have involvement in the Underwriter audit process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience within Insurance in Underwriting/Broking/Motor Claims.
  • Industry qualifications (minimum tier 2) or comparable industry experience.
  • Strong customer service focus with experience in intermediated distribution channels desirable.
  • Strong communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to learn and to use your own initiative.
  • An ability to foster strong Broker/Market relationships.
  • Able to make intelligent and innovative business decisions with an appreciation and understanding of legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • A data-driven mindset to uncover patterns, ask insightful questions, and transform information into meaningful actions to drive success.
