Motor Underwriter Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Motor Underwriter to fill a crucial position in our high-performing team. As an essential member, you will be responsible for underwriting motor policies, determining effective pricing, and managing renewals, endorsements, and new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite motor policies and determine effective pricing/policy negotiation
  • Manage Renewals, Endorsements, and New Business opportunities to attain financial targets
  • Maintain and exceed service level standards
  • Follow best practices and uphold ethical and regulatory standards across the agency. Adhere to underwriting guidelines and target market determination.
  • Liaise with brokers and business partners at company functions and Industry events.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within Insurance in Underwriting/Broking/Motor Claims
  • Industry qualifications (minimum tier 2) or comparable industry experience
  • Strong customer service focus with experience in intermediated distribution channels desirable
  • Strong communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills
