Leading a team of insurance professionals requires not only extensive knowledge of motor policies but also exceptional leadership skills. In this role, you will oversee the profitable growth of a Prestige Motor Insurance agency by working closely with broker partners to underwrite policies and negotiate effective pricing.

About the Opportunity

Our company is seeking an experienced Motor Underwriter to join our high-performing team. As an essential member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing Renewals, Endorsements, and New Business opportunities to meet financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite motor policies and determine effective pricing/policy negotiation.
  • Manage Renewals, Endorsements, and New Business opportunities to attain financial targets.
  • Maintain and exceed service level standards.
  • Follow best practices and uphold ethical and regulatory standards across the agency.
  • Liaise with brokers and business partners at industry events.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within Insurance in Underwriting/Broking/Motor Claims.
  • Industry qualifications (minimum tier 2) or comparable industry experience.
  • Strong customer service focus with experience in intermediated distribution channels desirable.
  • Strong communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to learn and to use your own initiative.
  • An ability to foster strong Broker/Market relationships.
