About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our culinary team at SeaLink K'gari (Fraser Island). This is a full-time salary position working 38 hours per week on a rotating roster. 

About You

We are looking for a passionate and skilled chef with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent higher education. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, committed to delivering exceptional service and contributing to the overall success of our resort. This role requires you to move and live on the island at Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver exceptional service
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent higher education
  • Food Safety Course (Essential)
  • Minimum 2-years in a Chef de Partie role (preferred)
  • Advanced communication and organisational skills
  • Efficient and effective time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Previous experience within multi-outlet resort/hotel environment
