Expert Human Resources Specialist for Workplace Relations and Performance

About the RoleWe are seeking an Expert Human Resources Specialist to join our Corporate Operations Branch, specifically in the Legal and Conduct Section. This role will focus on providing high-quality specialist advice to senior management and technical advice to staff on employment issues, complex workplace relations matters, and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice on employment law and regulations, including enterprise agreements, HR policies, and employment contracts.
- Represent the department in dealings with unions, tribunals, and external agencies to resolve disputes and achieve positive outcomes.
- Lead, motivate, and gain the commitment of others in achieving a workplace relations focus responsive to contemporary issues and changes in workplace practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in human resource management or law (or a related field).
- Significant experience in workplace relations, performance, and conduct, preferably in a government or regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide high-quality advice and solutions.
