Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Strategic Workplace Relations Specialist. This role will provide expert advice to senior management and technical advice and education to staff on a broad range of employment issues, complex workplace relations matters, and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high quality specialist advice to senior management and technical advice and education to staff on a broad range of employment issues, complex workplace relations matters, and relevant legislation.
Identify, design, and develop innovative strategies to improve departmental outcomes when managing complex sensitive people matters, staff engagement, and workplace consultation.
Represent the department in dealings with unions, tribunals, external jurisdictions, and other stakeholders to avoid disputes or achieve positive outcomes and resolutions.
Assist and support the research, development, management, and implementation of enterprise agreements, HR Policies, and employment contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, processes, and better practice.
Lead, motivate, and gain the commitment of others in achieving a workplace relations focus responsive to contemporary issues and changes in workplace practices.
Develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships, liaise and effectively negotiate with key stakeholders including senior management, staff, industrial organisations, and external agencies.

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in human resource management or law is desirable but not required.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.
