Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Workplace Relations Specialist to join our team at Flexhive. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide expert advice on industrial relations issues, including dispute resolution, grievance handling, and code of conduct investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level advice on industrial relations matters, including dispute resolution, grievance handling, and code of conduct investigations.
  • Case-manage staff complaints and conduct thorough investigations into alleged breaches of the APS Values & Code of Conduct.
  • Provide advice on solutions that are fair, impartial, and would withstand independent scrutiny.
  • Assist in conciliation processes between parties involved in workplace disputes.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including coaching and mentoring managers dealing with underperformance and probationary issues.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay informed about changes in employment legislation and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Cultural capability, including demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the ability to engage authentically and respectfully.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years).
  • Expert knowledge of employment laws, legislation, regulations, Enterprise Agreements, and workplace policies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
