About the Role:

Mirvac is a leading Australian property group dedicated to reimagining urban life. As an Assistant Facility Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal condition, maintenance, and operation of our assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer experience by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring timely communication.
  • Support the identification and mitigation of risks, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of projects that promote a safe, sustainable, and innovative culture.
  • Create and approve work orders, tax invoices, and service contracts within delegated limits of authority.
  • Perform daily inspections of plant and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist in the preparation of scope of works for planned operational or minor capital projects.
  • Escalate critical service interruptions and manage contractors and service providers.
  • Monitor and maintain statutory logs, Asset Registers, and planners.
  • Understand and apply the NABERs rating scheme at an asset level.
  • Be available on call 24/7, work on weekends, and attend to after-hours calls.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure system/data integrity and drive portfolio-wide excellence.
  • Champion the consistent application of Mirvac's key values, leading by example and promoting a high-performing environment.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably with a solid administrative and/or technical background.
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-volume role with conflicting priorities.
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, HSE, DDA, and other risk management issues.
  • Detailed understanding and practical experience of BMCS systems.
  • Experience managing contractors and contract schedules, ensuring prompt payment.
  • Technical competency with trade or tertiary qualifications preferred.
  • Customer-centric focus with exceptional stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • Understanding of project management and risk management.
  • Ability to adapt to change, deal with ambiguity, and complexity.
  • Proactive and self-motivated mindset with a commitment to quality, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
