**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at St Mark's Anglican Community School. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of our facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for facilities management, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Lead and manage the Grounds and Maintenance teams, as well as external contractors, to maintain facilities to a high standard.
  • Provide efficient logistics and associated services to support the School's activities.
  • Advise and assist in the planning, development, and management of infrastructure improvements and building projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to facilities management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including contractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on facilities management performance, including budgeting and cost control.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field, such as building or trade management.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to organize resources, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships and a safe work environment.
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
  • Current, unrestricted driver's license.
  • Supportive of the School's Anglican Identity.
