About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Facility Manager to join our team at Mirvac. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high level of communication and responsiveness to requests.
  • Support the identification and mitigation of risks, ensuring the development and implementation of strategies to eliminate, mitigate, or minimize their impact.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of projects that promote a safe, sustainable, and innovative culture, driving a competitive advantage for Mirvac.
  • Create and approve work orders, tax invoices, service, and minor capital works contracts within delegated limits of authority.
  • Conduct daily inspections of plant and equipment to ensure operational readiness for occupancy or trade.
  • Assist in the preparation of scope of works for planned operational or minor capital projects, including relevant documentation and data entry.
  • Escalate critical service interruptions, understanding their impact on customers and tenants.
  • Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with Mirvac policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain up-to-date statutory logs, Asset Registers, and planners relevant to the assets.
  • Understand the NABERs rating scheme and its major influences, applying them at an asset level.
  • Be available on call 24/7, work on weekends, and attend to after-hours calls.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure system/data integrity, efficient information flow, and drive portfolio-wide excellence and efficiencies.
  • Champion the consistent application of Mirvac's key values, leading by example and promoting a high-performing and collaborative environment.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in all facets of facilities management, typically stemming from a solid administrative and/or technical background.
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-volume role with conflicting priorities.
  • Understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, HSE, DDA, and other risk management issues.
  • Detailed understanding and practical experience of BMCS systems.
  • Experience managing contractors and contract schedules, ensuring prompt payment.
  • Technical competency with trade or tertiary qualifications preferred, but not essential.
  • A customer-centric focus with the ability to develop and maintain exceptional stakeholder relationships and liaise with people at all levels.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively, ensuring deadlines are achieved on time.
  • Understanding of project management and risk management.
  • Ability to adapt to change, deal with ambiguity and complexity.
  • Proactive and self-motivated mindset, with the ability to solve issues as they arise and improve system and process efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • A commitment to quality, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
