About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Violence Specialist Advisor to join our Mental Health and Wellbeing team at Syracusefamilydentist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and support to our mental health programs in identifying and responding to family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed care strategies to support consumers who have experienced family violence, including children.
  • Provide secondary consultation to high-risk cases, including consumers who are using family violence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build capacity and provide expertise in family violence response.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in family violence and trauma-informed care.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to family violence response.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a mental health or social services setting.
  • Proven expertise in trauma-informed care and family violence response.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
