Job Description

Chandler Macleod is seeking highly skilled Specialist Technical Advisors to join our team. As a Specialist Technical Advisor, you will provide expert advice and support to our clients in various fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finance: Provide financial commercial support for partner agreements and contracts, including financial investigation services, tax planning, analysis, modelling, tenders and advice on budget impacts.
  • Social Licensing: Assist in developing Social Licensing strategy to identify and address resistance and impediments, provide advice and assist in developing community consultation plan, and assist in forums and engagements with senior stakeholders and communities and develop mitigation strategies to address identified areas of concern.
  • Program Management: Assist in designing and building the Program Management Office (PMO) for the Technical Group, assist in the development of the Group's accountability requirements in enabling the delivery of the program, assist in developing the Group's governance and reporting to seniors and the wider Agency, and provide advice regarding the integration of the Technical Group with Agency's delivery groups.
  • South Australia Infrastructure: Work with Agency's Skills and Training Academy team to identify the infrastructure requirements for the Academy, help design and build the team that will manage the delivery of the Academy infrastructure, and assist when required in the work currently being undertaken for the Osborne Shipyard.
  • Skills and Training Academy: Using the high-level program strategy and information available from lessons learned from international partners, assist in creating an implementation plan which will include detailed costs, procurement options and timelines to meet the assigned targets for the STA, help identify opportunities to accelerate the construction and operation of the STA, and provide advice on other elements of the STA when required.
  • Western Australia Infrastructure: Work with the Agency and broader Defence to identify the infrastructure requirements for Henderson, help design and build the team that will manage the delivery of the Henderson infrastructure, and assist when required in any other work that may arise from the infrastructure projects at Henderson.
  • Shipbuilding: Provide specialist shipbuilding advice to the First Assistant Director General SSN Construction in regard to AUKUS Design requirements, SSN Construction plan, and as a Shipbuilding SQEP, transfer knowledge to APS personnel within SSN AUKUS Division and broader Agency.
