Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team as a Strategic HR Business Partner. As an HR Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager of People & Culture with generalist HR activities, including day-to-day partnering and delivering on key HR projects.

This is a 12-month parental leave cover position with potential for extension. You will be based in our corporate head office and support across the organisation, including corporate and geographically dispersed operations.

About The Role
  • Support the GMHR to develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and people initiatives.
  • Cover policy development, remuneration, benefits, performance management, training, and capability development.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of current Employment and Industrial Relations practices to ensure compliance and foster positive employee relations.
  • Analyse data and prepare reports to inform business decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Take initiative to drive positive change and contemporary practices within the organisation.
About You
  • Proven experience as a HR Generalist with a broad understanding of HR/IR policies, remuneration, benefits, performance management, training, and capability development.
  • Current knowledge of employment legislation and Industrial Relations practices.
  • Previous experience supporting an operationally focused, multisite, geographically dispersed organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, suggesting improvements, and successfully leading people projects.
  • Motivated by thriving in a fast-paced environment and adapting to support business needs.
