Head of Event Technology Operations

We are currently seeking a Director of Event Technology to enhance our exceptional Venue team in Sydney.
Role Overview: Director of Event TechnologyThe ideal candidate will possess a strong customer-centric approach, demonstrating a deep understanding of client requirements and the ability to propose effective solutions. If you have a passion for the events industry and are looking for growth opportunities within the Audio Visual and Events sector, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Organize and lead client production meetings and weekly sales discussions.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance revenue within the venue.
- Oversee the efficient operation of the audiovisual department.
- Manage weekly billing processes.
- Maintain clear communication with the Accounts Department and other venues.
- Demonstrated experience in event management with a proven track record.
- Comprehensive knowledge of audiovisual equipment and its rental processes.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Experience managing high-performing teams in a third-party venue setting.
- Solid business acumen and financial oversight skills.
- Ability to cultivate lasting relationships with clients, particularly in high-end markets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Experience in cost management and staff scheduling.
- Background in the hospitality or luxury sectors is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in Hospitality or Events are preferred.
