We are currently seeking a Director of Event Technology to enhance our dynamic venue team.
Opportunity Overview for Director of Event TechnologyThe ideal candidate will be a client-focused professional with a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to propose effective solutions. If you have a passion for the events industry and are eager to advance your career in Audio Visual and Event Management, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary liaison for clients.
- Coordinate client and production meetings, as well as weekly sales discussions.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance revenue in designated venues.
- Oversee the efficient operation of the audiovisual department.
- Manage weekly billing processes.
- Maintain open communication with the Accounts Department and other venues.
- Extensive experience in event management is required, with a proven history of successful project execution.
- In-depth knowledge of audio-visual equipment and rental processes.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Proven experience in managing high-performing teams within third-party venues.
- Strong financial acumen and business management skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to cultivate lasting client relationships, particularly with high-end clientele.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Experience in roster management and cost control.
- Background in the hospitality or luxury sectors is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in Hospitality or Events are preferred.
- Team-oriented individual.
- Authorized to work in the location of the role.
