Opportunity Overview for Director of Event TechnologyWe are in search of a Director of Event Technology who is customer-oriented and possesses a deep understanding of client requirements, enabling them to propose effective solutions. Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary liaison for clients.
- Organize client and production meetings, as well as weekly sales discussions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance profitable revenue within designated venues.
- Oversee the seamless operation of the audiovisual department.
- Manage weekly billing processes.
- Ensure effective communication with the Accounts Department and other venues.
- Demonstrated experience in event management is essential, with a proven history of success.
- In-depth knowledge of Audio-Visual Equipment and its rental processes.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Proven experience in managing high-performing teams within third-party venues.
- Solid business acumen and financial oversight skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to cultivate lasting client relationships, particularly with high-end clientele.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in roster management and cost control.
- Background in the hospitality or luxury sectors is advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications in Hospitality or Events are preferred.
- A collaborative team player.
- Authorized to work in the location of the role.
