About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at Northcott. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing specialist behaviour support to customers with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans: Create and implement behaviour support plans that meet NDIS commission requirements for customers with complex support needs.
  • Mentor and Coach Core Practitioners: Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to Core Behaviour Support Practitioners to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality support.
  • Assess and Support Customers: Conduct assessments for existing and potential customers to support Northcott's Housing Pathway and provide specialist behaviour support in a variety of contexts.
  • Participate in Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to Work as an NDIS Commission Approved Practitioner: Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Social Work, or other allied health area.
  • Minimum Three Years' Experience: Have a minimum of three years' experience mentoring staff to implement behaviour support strategies and working with customers with complex needs.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check: Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain.
