Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. As a Behavioural Therapist, you will work with individuals with complex needs, providing community, clinic, and telehealth services to enhance their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide community, clinic, and telehealth services to NDIS participants, focusing on enhancing their quality of life.
- Build relationships with individuals and their families, conducting functional behaviour assessments (FBA) and developing behaviour support plans.
- Offer training and support to individuals and their carers, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Review and reduce restrictive practices in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission guidelines.
- Collect and monitor data to track progress and inform service delivery.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching or Social Sciences).
- Letter of suitability from the NDIS (Core or above).
- Full Australian working rights (or pending).
- Prior experience in community, private, or acute settings.
- Access to a vehicle and a current driver's license.
- NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check.
