About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team as a Team Leader in Geelong. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner - Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting our PBS Clinical Lead and leadership team to ensure high standards of work are delivered in accordance with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development and implementation of positive Behaviour Support plans
  • Mentoring and working collaboratively with members of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Assisting participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify needs through a person-centered approach in a community-based setting
  • Developing and delivering behavior support services in accordance with the NDIS safeguards framework, particularly regarding restrictive practices
  • Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions, and strengths, as well as ensuring they get more out of life
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in development and implementation of positive Behaviour Support
  • Relevant qualification in allied health or social care and eligibility to register with the relevant membership body
  • Registration with the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Commission as a Proficient, Advanced or Specialist level Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • Experience delivering services under the NDIS
  • A passion for being a leader in their field and delivering quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • A driver's licence and full access to a vehicle
  • A national police clearance and working with children check (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Registration with the relevant professional body
  • Experience in providing training and supervision to a team
