Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team as a Team Leader in Geelong. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting our PBS Clinical Lead and ensuring high standards of work are delivered in accordance with legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the PBS Clinical Lead in ensuring high standards of work are delivered in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • Mentor and work collaboratively with members of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver behaviour support services.
  • Assist participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify needs through a person-centered approach in a community-based setting.
  • Develop and deliver behaviour support services in accordance with the NDIS safeguards framework, particularly regarding restrictive practices.
  • Ensure individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions, and strengths, as well as ensuring they get more out of life.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in development and implementation of positive Behaviour Support.
  • Relevant qualification in allied health or social care and eligibility to register with the relevant membership body.
  • Registration with the NDIS Quality & Safeguarding Commission as a Proficient, Advanced, or Specialist level Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Experience delivering services under the NDIS.
  • A passion for being a leader in their field and delivering quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • A driver's licence and full access to a vehicle.
  • A national police clearance and working with children check (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Registration with relevant professional body.
  • Experience in providing training and supervision to a team.
