About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Building Fire Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team at WSP. In this key role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough fire safety assessments and audits as well as building compliance assessments.

As a senior member of our Property Compliance team, you will work closely with talented professionals on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting essential fire safety measure audits and facilitating systems interface tests to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Servicing clients across various property profiles, including commercial, retail, warehouse, and industrial facilities.
  • Managing and delivering assigned projects to meet defined objectives, timeframes, budgets, and quality assurance standards.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to convey high-quality technical information.
  • Contributing to the region's business pipeline to achieve revenue targets through proactive client relationships and project management.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in auditing essential fire safety measures, with a sound knowledge of AS1851, the BCA, and legacy codes and standards applicable to building fire safety.

You will possess excellent interpersonal, project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and focus on clients. Additionally, you will have the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with others, as well as the skills to communicate and build strong business relationships.

Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or fire technology, plus previous experience in a consulting role, will be highly regarded.
