As a Fire Safety Compliance Specialist at WSP, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of buildings and communities.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Safety Compliance Specialist to join our Property Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting fire safety assessments and audits, as well as building compliance assessments.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting essential fire safety measure audits, facilitating systems interface tests and completing Annual Essential Safety Measures Reports.
  • Servicing clients who manage a range of property profiles including commercial, retail, warehouse and industrial facilities
  • Managing and delivering assigned projects to ensure they meet defined project objectives, timeframes, budgets and quality assurance standards
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and regularly communicating with key internal and external stakeholders to convey high-quality and accurate technical information
  • Contributing to the region's pipeline of business to ensure revenue targets are achieved through proactive client relationships and project management

What You'll Need:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in the auditing of essential fire safety measures, with a sound knowledge of AS1851, the BCA and legacy codes and standards applicable to building fire safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal, project management, problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and focus on clients.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with others as well as the skills to communicate and build strong business relationships.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or fire technology, plus previous experience in a consulting role will be highly regarded.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
