The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.

Job Description

As a High-End Fire Safety Engineer Specialist, you will play a key role in designing and implementing fire service systems for transport, building, and Defence infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

You will work under general supervision as a technical specialist, performing all conventional aspects of fire protection while devising new approaches to problems encountered. This role offers an opportunity to plan, schedule, and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and document a range of wet and dry fire services systems.
  • Read and interpret Fire Engineering Briefs/Reports.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and NCC.
  • Knowledge and experience of the project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of engineering design processes for infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520) and NSW registered certifier C14 (building hydraulics) certification.
  • Strong understanding of fire safety principles and practices.
  • Experience working with Revit MEP software is desirable.
