Your Role

This Senior Building Fire Safety Compliance Assessor position is critical in enhancing fire safety measures in commercial, retail, warehouse, and industrial facilities. Reporting to the Team Manager – Safety & Compliance, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting essential fire safety measure audits, facilitating systems interface tests, and completing Annual Essential Safety Measures Reports.
  • Servicing clients with diverse property profiles, ensuring their compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Managing assigned projects to meet defined objectives, timeframes, budgets, and quality assurance standards.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, communicating high-quality technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing to regional business growth through proactive client relationships and project management.

Your Qualifications and Skills

You will have proven experience in auditing essential fire safety measures, with a sound knowledge of AS1851, the BCA, and legacy codes and standards applicable to building fire safety. Key attributes include:

  • Excellent interpersonal, project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail and focus on clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, communicate effectively, and build strong business relationships.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or fire technology, plus previous consulting experience.
