About the Role

This role involves reporting to the Victorian Sales Manager – Resins, where you will be responsible for expanding new accounts (20%) and overseeing a portfolio of existing accounts (80%).

The territory area includes Victoria and South Australia, with regular travel to South Australia approximately every 4-8 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuously identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Manage existing customer relationships and provide regular monthly orders
  • Foster sales volume growth and profitability through effective product management
  • Visit customers regularly to understand their business needs and tailor services accordingly
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of products offered and various applications
  • Monitor stock levels to avoid ageing stock and stock out issues
  • Cultivate payment follow-up and ensure timely updates
  • Share market and technical information with the sales team to enhance overall performance
  • Address customer complaints and product quality issues promptly and professionally
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in front-line sales or technical sales roles
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow new business
  • Self-motivation, persistence, and a can-do attitude
  • Proactive approach in serving customers
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and commercial acumen
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Able to travel interstate or overseas once a quarter for one week
  • Knowledge of polymer, chemical, or similar industries is advantageous
  • A degree in Chemistry or Polymer science is desirable but not mandatory
