We are seeking a skilled philanthropy professional to join our team and contribute to the growth of our Gifts in Wills program.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to leverage your philanthropy skills, cultivate relationships with high-value donors, major donors, foundations, grants, and corporate partners. You will use data insights to tailor your communications and proposals to match the interests and passions of our supporters.

You will work closely with our fundraising and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies for gifts in wills, major donors, foundations, and grants, and corporate partnerships.

In collaboration with our events manager and external event management team, you will plan and execute a signature gala ball, fostering meaningful connections with stakeholders.

About You
  • An undergraduate qualification or relevant alternative combination of knowledge, training, and experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in major gifts or philanthropy, is necessary.
  • You must have a proven track record of securing significant donations from individuals, trusts, foundations, or corporates.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, corporations, and other potential donors is essential.
  • Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising events, such as gala dinners, auctions, or concerts, is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of the Australian philanthropic landscape and trends is crucial.
  • You should be able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills are necessary.
  • A commitment to our mission and values, and a genuine interest in the issues we work on, is essential.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required.
