
Mental Health Advocate

As an advocate, you will provide services to individuals at risk of or on compulsory treatment orders.
Your responsibilities will include assisting people to understand and exercise their rights, enabling them to participate in decisions about their treatment, care, and recovery.
You will also respond to enquiries from various stakeholders, including mental health organisations, hospitals, peer support workers, social workers, lawyers, and other advocates.
This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office and requires strong communication and negotiation skills.
You should have a deep understanding of the challenges impacting Victorians when accessing mental health support services.
A flexible, patient, and supportive approach is essential for this position.
