We're seeking a compassionate support professional to join our team of mental health advocates. As someone with personal experience supporting a loved one through challenging times, you'll draw on your own journey to provide meaningful guidance and encouragement to individuals in our community.
About the OpportunityOur Mental Health and Wellbeing service is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. We work collaboratively with local partners to ensure everyone can access treatment and care closer to home.
As our new Support Professional, you'll be part of a dedicated team working to reach and engage with communities facing barriers to care. You'll offer one-on-one coaching, facilitate group sessions, and coordinate peer-led network meetings to build resilience and connection among individuals.
Your Skills and Experience- Personal experience of supporting a loved one through mental health recovery and adversity
- Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health or related tertiary qualification in social science or 1+ year relevant work experience in mental health sector or intentional Peer Support Training
- Demonstrated understanding of community development principles
- Evidence of right to work in Australia, National Police Check, International Police (if required), Current Working with Children Check - Employee, NDIS Workers Screening Check, NDIS Workers Orientation Modules – free online course
