
Mental Health Consumer Advocate Coordinator

The Mental Health Division at a leading healthcare organisation provides care and services through a comprehensive range of teams to meet the needs of mental health consumers and carers.
A senior member of the Adult Mental Health Service clinical team will work to build capacity of the services to respond effectively to the consumer and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working with young people who have parents with a mental illness
- Advocating for consumers and their families and organisational leadership meetings
- Working alongside clinicians to enhance their service responses to consumers and their families
To be successful in this role, you will bring an excellent understanding of recovery orientated practices and its implementation within a clinical setting.
You will also be able to develop rapport with parents who have a mental illness and their family, effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders, lead, and enjoy working with people.
