About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Coordinator to join our Corporate Services team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Office Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and employees by coordinating all aspects of catering for meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate catering for client and employee meetings and events, ensuring that all requirements are met and exceeded.
  • Work closely with the Catering team to plan and execute catering functions, including menu planning, ordering, and preparation.
  • Assist the Front of House Coordinator with offering and preparing tea/coffee and refreshments for client and internal meetings.
  • Monitor the Catering inbox and take responsibility for catering requirements, liaising with internal teams regarding catering requests and booking/orders.
  • Prepare, set up, and serve catering for client and firm events, ensuring compliance with food safety hygiene and food handling/preparation procedures.
  • Maintain, clean, and restock kitchen commodities, cleaning supplies, and equipment on all floors, including ordering groceries and supplies online.
  • Provide quotes for catering as required and process supplier invoices, including allocating in Chrome River.
  • Review suppliers against costs and quality and work with the Events team to organize external functions.
  • Book, induct, and supervise external chefs and wait staff, and coordinate catering for off-site functions, including kosher meals.
  • Complete regular stock rotation in all kitchens and storage rooms to mitigate stock loss and develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Provide reception and switchboard coverage when required and perform ad hoc duties as needed.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in hospitality, preferably in a corporate environment, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. You will have a solid understanding of food safety hygiene, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.

You will also have exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact with all business levels, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work under pressure and problem-solve.
