Human Resources Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives to ensure a skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on performance, conduct, and team development.
  • Manage probation, reviews, performance improvement, and succession planning processes to maximize employee potential.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, NES, Awards, and WHS regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Oversee safety reporting, return-to-work, and toolbox meetings to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, policies, and handbooks to support informed decision-making.
  • Promote a strong, inclusive culture and mediate workplace issues to foster a positive work environment.
  • Support payroll accuracy and remuneration frameworks to ensure fair compensation and benefits.
  • Develop training, onboarding programs, and L&D initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Track and report HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and engagement to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of generalist HR experience in Australia.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work, NES, Awards, and WHS compliance.
  • Experience building HR processes from scratch within SME or multi-site environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to coach staff.
  • High level of written and spoken English; confident in drafting policies and documentation.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Mandarin language skills to support a multicultural workforce.
  • Experience in automotive, wholesale, warehousing, or e-commerce sectors.
  • Exposure to payroll systems (Xero/KeyPay) and rostering.
  • Training design and facilitation experience.
