Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist: Supporting Clients

The role of an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist involves providing clients with various conditions, both physical and psychological, with occupational rehabilitation services to support their return to health and work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs through case management;
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to deliver consultancy services, including assessments and relevant group training sessions;

This diverse role offers flexibility and autonomy while supporting a strong team of driven healthcare professionals. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and well-developed time management skills.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or a related field;
  • Full membership of a reputable professional association;
  • Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry (highly regarded);
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Compassion, kindness, and a caring attitude;
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills;
  • A current driver's license and access to own vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
