Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve their full potential and live life to the fullest.
With a professional background in rehabilitation counselling, you will work collaboratively with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive occupational rehabilitation services.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of case management principles, including the ability to identify goals and develop tailored plans to support clients' return to health and work outcomes.
You will also possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and compassion, as well as the ability to manage multiple caseloads and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct initial assessments, worksite assessments, and vocational assessments to support clients' return to health and work outcomes;
- Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs for clients and employers;
- Collaborate with medical and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans;
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients to facilitate their return to work;
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Tertiary qualifications in rehabilitation counselling or a related field;
- Full membership of a recognised professional body;
- Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Compassion, empathy, and kindness towards clients and stakeholders.
