Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As an expert in the field, you will be responsible for applying clinical reasoning skills to support individuals who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and strong clinical reasoning skills. They will also have experience working with multidisciplinary teams and a passion for helping people rehabilitate.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where you can make a real difference in people's lives. You will be responsible for taking a holistic care approach, working within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.

  • Perform various assessments depending on your clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including employees, medical specialists, treatment providers and allied health professionals.
  • Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans.
Working Conditions

We offer a great work-life balance with set working hours, no overtime, and early starts and finishes: 7:30am – 3:30pm working on base at HMAS Albatross. Part-Time options may be considered.

Requirements
  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Strong clinical reasoning.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate.
