Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in a supportive and dynamic environment. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality occupational rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, supporting them to achieve optimal return to health and return to work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Case management, including manageable caseloads and support from rehabilitation professionals;
- Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes for injured workers;
- Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees;
- Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals;
- Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
- Assisting individuals with injuries or health conditions to achieve optimal return to health and return to work outcomes;
- Conducting assessments, including initial assessments, worksite assessments, and vocational assessments;
- Providing consultancy services for injury prevention and injury management, including group mental health training and general health and wellbeing related education sessions.
- Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or a related field;
- Full membership of a relevant professional association;
- Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation industry (highly regarded);
- Fabulous communication skills, including written and verbal communication;
- Compassion, kindness, and empathy towards clients;
- Well-developed time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
- A current driver's license and access to own vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
