Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Role

We are seeking a skilled Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team and support separating families in making parenting arrangements that benefit their children.

This role is available at a family relationship centre where you will have the opportunity to assist families through innovative programs, including therapeutic case management and group workshops for children affected by family separation.

As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will be working collaboratively with colleagues, clients, community partners, and other professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide effective dispute resolution services to separating families
  • To work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • To manage data recording systems and phone/online modes of service delivery
  • To reflect on clinical work and participate in clinical supervision
  • To work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Requirements:
  • Registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in accordance with Attorney General's Department
  • Tertiary qualification in working therapeutically with children and families
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving organisational priorities and requirements
