About the Role

This permanent full-time position involves developing comprehensive return-to-work programs that align with organisational goals, enhance employee well-being, and drive productivity. As an experienced return to work coordinator, you will be familiar with liaising with workers compensation agencies, Victorian workers compensation legislation, fair work act, and national employment standards.

  • Process claims documents, certificates, and invoices in accordance with required timeframes, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures and workers' compensation legislation.
  • Liaise with WorkSafe agents, health practitioners, rehabilitation providers, claimants, and relevant parties to ensure efficient claims management and resolution.
  • Conduct regular case reviews, and collaborate with the insurer's injury and claims manager and external parties to identify and attempt to resolve any barriers that exist to achieving a full return to pre-injury work.
  • Provide expert advice to managers, employees, and stakeholders on claims and injury management, and return to work legal responsibilities and obligations to ensure compliance, as well as assisting in promoting recovery at work and the health benefits to various stakeholders.
  • Support on-site post-injury function assessments or identification of suitable duties to facilitate a worker's safe return to work.
  • Coordinate and advise on the implementation of fit-for-purpose and operationally relevant injury management and return to work policies, procedures, toolbox talks, training, and development materials, systems, processes, and other relevant documents.
What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. You should have experience working in workers compensation and injury management, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
