Role Summary

This role is a key position in the organisation, requiring exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong understanding of relevant legislation.

  • Achieve effective return-to-work outcomes for employees through strategic coordination and management of workers' compensation and non-work-related injury cases.
  • Develop and implement injury management plans, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and legislative requirements.
  • Promote a culture of workplace safety, partnering with stakeholders to drive HSW initiatives and wellbeing campaigns.
  • Provide expert advice and support to leaders managing injured or ill employees, contributing to the development of a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting people through recovery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Injury Management & Return to Work: Coordinate and manage workers' compensation and non-work-related injury cases, achieving effective return-to-work outcomes.
  • Lead return-to-work processes, liaising with employees, managers, medical providers and WorkCover agents to ensure seamless transitions and successful reintegration into the workforce.
  • Manage compensation payments, PIAWE, and payroll reconciliations, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate case files, injury management plans and documentation, ensuring compliance with WIRC legislative requirements and organisational policies.
  • Provide expert advice and support to leaders managing injured or ill employees, promoting a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting people through recovery.
About You
  • You will have experience in injury management, RTW coordination, or workers' compensation case management, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. WIRC Act).
  • You will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • You will be proficient in data analysis and reporting, measuring the success of injury prevention, management and Return to Work initiatives.
  • You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and empathetic approach to supporting people through recovery.
