At Western NSW Local Health District, we are dedicated to improving the health of the Aboriginal community.
Role OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented and compassionate individual to join our team as an Aboriginal Team Leader. As part of our newly established team, you will work in a supportive environment to provide referrals, assistance attending appointments, and support during appointments.
You will be working closely with broader health teams and reporting to the Aboriginal Coordinator – Mental Health Services. We offer professional development opportunities, cultural mentoring, and a supportive team environment to help you grow in your role.
About The RoleWe are seeking a strong leader with experience working in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with stakeholders.
The successful applicant will be passionate about making a positive impact on the Aboriginal community and committed to improving access to services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of staff working to improve access to services for the Aboriginal community
- Develop and implement strategies to improve access to services
- Work with broader health teams to achieve improved outcomes
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of the Aboriginal community and be able to develop and implement effective solutions.
