About the Role

As a Student Services Coordinator in our vibrant learning community at Merici College, you will play a vital role in ensuring students receive the necessary support to reach their full potential. This involves maintaining accurate attendance records, providing first aid care, and communicating effectively with parents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and handle correspondence and enquiries, including sensitive information.
  • Maintain student attendance records and data daily.
  • Communicate with parents daily regarding student absences via SMS messaging and telephone.
  • Provide first aid and oversee medications to students (and staff), supervise the sick bay, and maintain stocks of first-aid care supplies.
  • Collaborate with Pastoral Care Teachers and Coordinators on student attendance and welfare.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to operate office equipment and adapt to technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional school-based software packages.
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines.
