About the Role

This is a critical opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community as a Triage & Assessment Specialist in our Family Connect & Support (FCS) program. You will be at the forefront of helping children, young people, and families thrive by conducting comprehensive assessments, determining vulnerability and complexity, and ensuring immediate needs are met.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct whole-of-family assessments to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Support children, young people, and families by delivering services aligned with FCS program guidelines.
  • Engage families through diverse methods, including telephone interviews, home visits, and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Act as a key resource for addressing child protection risks and guiding safety planning.
  • Build strong relationships with local service providers to ensure seamless support.
  • Ensure compliance with FCS program timeframes and service standards.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all client interactions.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.
  • Experience in comprehensive needs assessments, focusing on safety planning for children and families.
  • Expertise in working with families facing complex issues, including child protection and cultural sensitivities.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with Aboriginal and CALD communities in a culturally respectful way.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills for triage and assessment processes.
  • A current NSW WWCC and a current driver's license.
