About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Corrs Chambers Westgarth Careers. As a key member of our Business Development team, you will play a critical role in driving our client retention, client development, and new business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Prioritize Opportunities: Utilize your expertise to identify and prioritize opportunities at a practice, client, and market level, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Build Relationships: Work closely with client teams to build strong relationships, fostering a deep understanding of their needs and goals.
  • Share Insights: Share valuable insights within and across client teams and the broader Disputes practices, driving strategic decision-making and business growth.
  • Execute Business Development Priorities: Take ownership of executing business development priorities, including leading projects and initiatives that drive business growth and expansion.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Work closely with the Practice Group Leader, Partners, and Clients, providing subject matter expertise and guidance to support business growth and expansion.
  • Mentor and Support: Mentor and provide support and guidance to Business Development Advisers and Coordinators, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Marketing Degree or Relevant Business Qualification: Possess a marketing degree or relevant business qualification, with a strong understanding of business development principles and practices.
  • Business Development Experience: Have at least 4+ years of experience in business development, within law or professional services, with a proven track record of driving business growth and expansion.
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management Skills: Possess excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to positively influence a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong Project Management Skills: Have strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver business development projects and initiatives.
  • Experience with Tender Processes: Have experience with tender processes, including drafting and submission, with a strong understanding of the requirements and expectations of clients and stakeholders.
