About the Role:

In line with our values and strategic intent, the successful candidate will enable a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the Consumer business – empowering leaders with the knowledge and guidance to adopt a proactive HSW mindset and lead by example in safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with our People and Culture (P&C) teams, identify opportunities to embed HSW capability and literacy at all stages of the employee lifecycle;
  • Proactively coach and guide leaders in best practice health, safety and wellbeing management;
  • Collaborate with the P&C team to develop and deliver on health, safety and wellbeing initiatives aligned to external body, industry and Regulator events;
  • Provide a work context and environment that enables excellence and brings out the best in every HSW team member;
  • Support employee development by ensuring all team members have an active individual development plan.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in the generalist HSW role, providing SME advice and service on key safety management activities;
  • Solid working experience of Model WHS Act, Regulations and Code of Practice;
  • Effective communication skills, with an ability to import knowledge and coach others;
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing and driving change across a diverse organisation;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence outcomes;
  • Experience in various MS Office applications;
  • Strong attention to detail and well organised;
  • Experience within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
