Health, Safety and Wellbeing Director

Key Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Consumer business, you will be responsible for enabling a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the organization. This will involve empowering leaders with the knowledge and guidance to adopt a proactive HSW mindset and lead by example in safe work practices.
Key Accountabilities:
- Partner with the People and Culture team to identify opportunities to embed HSW capability and literacy at all stages of the employee lifecycle.
- Proactively coach and guide leaders in best practice health, safety and wellbeing management.
- Collaborate with the P&C team to develop and deliver on health, safety and wellbeing initiatives aligned to external body, industry and Regulator events.
- Provide a work context and environment that enables excellence and brings out the best in every HSW team member.
- Support employee development by ensuring all team members have an active individual development plan.
Requirements:
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in the generalist HSW role, providing SME advice and service on key safety management activities.
- Solid working experience of Model WHS Act, Regulations and Code of Practice.
- Effective communication skills, with an ability to import knowledge and coach others.
- Demonstrated experience in influencing and driving change across a diverse organisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence outcomes to win/win positions.
- Experience in various MS Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and well organised.
- Experience within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
