Enterprise Risk Management Specialist

About the Role
As our new Enterprise Risk Management Specialist, you will support the Recoveries and Settlements leadership team to deliver our risk management strategy. You will ensure that all aspects of the risk management framework are completed and complied with.
You will:
- Risk Identification and Assessment
- Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of specific training and development initiatives designed to strengthen risk management activities, and facilitate workshops for risk & control identification.
- Advise and lead the development, implementation, and ongoing review, testing, and assurance for A&G's Business Continuity Framework.
- Identify, assess, and document operational risks, including Incident Management and Risk Profile analysis, ensuring Risk Assessments are in place for the Department that you are responsible for.
- Develop and maintain risk registers, heat maps, and other risk management tools, and conduct root cause analysis, identify lessons learned, implementing corrective actions and remediation plans as required.
- Manage the response to regulator requests and regulatory change, leading the incident response effort, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Support and represent business in BreachCos, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, controls, and procedures, and improve internal risk controls, detection, and response capabilities.
- Perform risk assessments for data protection, supplier management, and risk management programs, and monitor management incidents, audit actions, and treatment plans.
What You'll Bring
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience working within a similar position, preferably in the financial services industry, particularly in general insurance.
- The ability to build and sustain effective relationships, with strong negotiation and influencing skills, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong background in Incident Management, Risk Profile, and Risk Reporting.
- Demonstrated understanding of legislative, regulatory, and compliance obligations in the FSR environment and proficiency in regulatory and compliance obligations relating to GICOP, Privacy, Corps Act, and Claims Handling, RG271, and Complaints Management, CPS 230.
- Exposure in Third-Party Risk Management is highly desirable.
