Are you ready to take your career to the next level in sales and customer engagement? We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Sales & Customer Solutions team in Queensland.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leader in logistics and supply chain solutions. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing the produce channel revenue by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic relationships with existing customers.

You will play a key role in expanding our customer base, managing the sales funnel, extending our current offering, and innovating and growing our business through new markets and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expand the Customer Base: Engage with potential clients through cold calling, industry research, and networking at events to identify business needs and develop targeted solutions.
  • Manage the Sales Funnel: Utilize Salesforce to track opportunities, review progress monthly, and follow up on leads from partnerships and marketing efforts.
  • Extend the Current Offering: Meet with key decision-makers to understand their requirements and propose solutions that highlight the advantages of CHEP's products.
  • Innovate and Grow: Explore new markets and applications for our products, driving growth through innovative supply chain solutions.
What You Will Need

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A completed tertiary qualification relevant to the field.
  • Solid working history in a sales or customer-facing role, ideally within fresh produce.
  • The ability to engage customers to accurately identify business needs and develop targeted solutions.
  • The ability to close deals quickly and effectively with win-win outcomes.
  • The ability to engage with senior decision-makers and build trusted partnerships.
  • Basic computer literacy – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
  • Sound commercial acumen.
  • The ability to articulate the features and benefits of a product and service.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently to achieve results.
